Homework Timetable Policy

Following a lengthy consultation process including a parents forum, curriculum leaders, students and background research, please see below the revised homework policy and timetable. The policy is still subject to Governor ratification but the timetable should give an idea of when pupils should receive homework from each subject (as a minimum), As well as the timing of homework, it gives a guide to the number of times homework should be set by each subject and the type of homework they are likely to receive; also included is an article which formed part of the research base for this piece of work.

The school is very keen that all homework is meaningful and not just set for the sake of it, so you may find some very imaginative approaches to homework used by some subject areas. Please note that some subjects set extended projects to be completed over a number of weeks as homework, however the students should still write a reminder in their diary (some parents may wish to help their child with the time management of this).
