Saddleworth School Technical Group

The technical group for the new Saddleworth School has been set up to support the design process. It contains a small number of local people who volunteered to be involved and who have given of their time freely. Most either work in or have experience of design and construction. The group have considered both the Control Option identified for the Diggle site and proposals drafted for the Uppermill site. They have focussed on which is the most viable site given the constraints we have to deal with: access, time, environment, safety, finances, infrastructure etc.

Based on the information provided by the EFA and Oldham Council and following careful deliberation, the group accepts that the Diggle site offers the best location for the new school.
