County Glory For Netball Teams

Our U16 and U13 Netball teams have been crowned Greater Manchester Schools County Champions, hosted at Stockport Grammar School.

Our U13 team took part in a tournament against 11 other schools. Saddleworth remained unbeaten in the group stages with the following results:

Saddleworth v St. Gabriels: Won 18-0
Saddleworth v Loreto: Won 14-5
Saddleworth v Hulme: Won 6-4
Saddleworth v Manchester High: Won 9-2
Saddleworth v Bury Grammar: Won 12-4

We drew St. Monica's in the Semi Final and won 10-6

The final was against Stockport Grammar which was quite nail biting but Saddleworth played with so much determination and competitiveness beating their opponents 9-8 to be crowned Greater Manchester Champions.

The U16 tournament, again hosted at Stockport Grammar School featured 15 schools and the results of the group stages are as follows:

Saddleworth v Wright Robinson: Won 9-4
Saddleworth v Withington: Won 6-4
Saddleworth v Manchester High: Won 6-2
Saddleworth v St. Monica's: Lost 6-4
Saddleworth v Bolton: Won 6-3
Saddleworth v Loreto: Won 10-6
Saddleworth v Altrincham: Won 19-7

Saddleworth were runners up in Group B and therefore had to play the winners of Group A in the Semi-Final; Cheadle Hulme. Saddleworth won with an impressive 13-5 score.

The final was against St. Monica's school who we had lost to in the group stages. The players were absolutely fantastic and played with such flair and determination beating St. Monica's 7-2 to be crowned Greater Manchester Champions!
